Marcelo Zarvos BREAKTHROUGH
What a lovelyt score: orchestral, but it utilizes PLENTY of piano, cello, and strings. The overall tone of the music is clearly water-related by the sweeping crescendos and its uplifting tone. Midway through hearing this, I Googled it and discovered the film is a Pro-Faith tearjerker about a woman whose son falls under the ice for an extended period and it all starts to make sense. Still… it remains a beautiful score; perfect for early mornings, late night, or meditation
Harry Gregson-Williams PENGUINS
as expect by the source material, this is a fully orchestrated score that is PURE Disney: inspiring, uplifting, jovial, fun, playful… Executed is top notch and the record could potentially stand alone as its own thing. Easily on a par with Gregson-Williams other workd (SHREK, THE MARTIAN, THE EQUALIZER, THE TOWN, KINGDOM OF HEAVEN), so a deep dive into his discography is recommended! Fun… and REALLY well done!
