Music: Ben Lovett THE WIND / Erez Koskas WE DIE YOUNG
Ben Lovett THE WIND
Super suspenseful score that’s pretty, suitably creepy (given the film’s subject matter), but a little noisey. Tracks are more mood pieces than ‘songs’ and the disc suffers because of that. I liked the disc, but… there’s LOTS of GSM / soundscape stuff here. Lovely, but… not for everyone.
Erez Koskas WE DIE YOUNG
A solid action / drama score (it’s a Jean Claude Van Damme flick): some GSM, some noise, with a few solid, harvestable tracks. Look for weird ‘one-offs’ (aka songs / styles that appear out of nowhere, last for a single track, then disappear forever). What’s here is good and I added it to my Soundtrack playlist, but… like THE WIND above, the soundscapey tracks will lose some folks. I dug it… your mileage may vary.
