Music: Gustavo Santaolalla LIFE IN 12 BARS / Antonio Pinto THE BOY WHO HARNESSED THE WIND
Gustavo Santaolalla LIFE IN 12 BARS
Not at all what I expected. For a score for a film on Eric Clapton, there’s VERY little guitar playing. The music is mostly made up of piano and strings and WAY more ‘tense-sounding’ than expected. That all said, what *is* here is beautiful; well executed and perfect for early morning listening.
Antonio Pinto THE BOY WHO HARNESSED THE WIND
A beautifully crafted, and yet – tonally – distinctly African; traditional instruments being woven in with a full orchestra. Again, the music here is stunning and well-handled. Perfect for yoga and for early morning choring. Nice stuff!
