Music: Michael Abels US / Christopher Young PET SEMATARY
Michael Abels US
Unique - sing-song vocals and orchestral GSM abound. This is all “music for when the fish swims by” and, I’m sure, it makes sense within the context of the film, but as a stand alone listening experience, this is just tension-filled GSM. The aforementioned sing-song vocals are interesting, but make few appearances. They leave the record the the abundance of staccato strings and cello. Fans of the film may dig this, but… I was hard-pressed to find much to recommend here.
Christopher Young PET SEMATARY
File under GHSM (Generic Horror Soundtrack Music). There are one or two stand out tracks (“Echo Angels,” for example), but yeah… there’s not a lot here to recommend. I hope the film is better…
